Universal Beyond Bars Ministers at Clemens
Universal Beyond Bars (UBB) church began volunteering with TDCJ in October 2017 and currently has a total of 23 approved volunteers at seven TDCJ facilities.
UBB is currently facilitating Project Intellimen, a program for men who take responsibility in their daily lives and focus on mental, physical and spiritual development. Recently, the UBB Church decided to embark on a chapel improvement project at Clemens Trusty Camp.
They remodeled the current multipurpose room, painting, laying floors and adding an altar. They also donated a new sound system and new chairs.
“Clemens Unit is blessed to have partnered with Universal Ministry Behind Bars and we appreciate your support and dedication,” said director Bruse Armstrong.
“UBB’s mission in partnership with the TDCJ is to help make a difference in each offender’s life. Our goal is to show each individual and help them understand that regardless of their past, they can do it in life. We have seen many transformed by the power of God, so we firmly believe that we can help the TDCJ in rehabilitating these individuals, “said Pastor Quincy Leith. “Our biggest goal is to share this great vision across the Texas and US units.”
