Between four walls
Practically every bedroom has 4 walls (a wall with a door, window, bed, and 4th wall). Let’s make an analogy with these walls, and learn how to take care of our marriage:
Wall with door – Do not keep this door open! You and your spouse should be the only ones inside your bedroom. This is why God taught us to leave our father and mother to be joined to our wife (Genesis 2.24). We cannot bring the problems and struggles we experience during the day into the bedroom. Protect your relationship.
Wall with window – Have you ever stopped to think that the virtual world would be this window to the world, just like a bedroom window looks out to the street? Be careful not to pay more attention to the “window” than to the person inside your bedroom: your beloved! Many betrayals start in the virtual world and materialize in the real world! Don’t forget that the devil is a thief, and thieves love an open window because it gives them easy access to break in and steal.
Wall with bed – The bed is the altar of the marriage! Never let your bed become tainted by anger. Do not go to sleep before resolving any issues with your spouse.
Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed is undefiled… Hebrews 13.4
The couple’s sex life should be based on the Word of God and both should always be in agreement. That’s right; both need to be in agreement. Nobody should put their two cents into someone else’s love life! Intimacy that is based on the Word of God is to love and complete each other.
The 4th wall – Everything begins with our intimacy with God, because it is the foundation of our salvation and our marriage. If you do not have your moment with God in the intimacy of your room to seek Him, this will reflect in your marriage. The Lord Jesus taught us:
But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 6.6
Whenever you enter your bedroom, look at the four walls, and remember this!ler mais
