Fair is Fair
If someone gives you a gift, you will always remember them and the gift that they gave you… if it was something that you really wanted or that you knew was special to them. But if they gave you something very cheap… something that not even they would want, I don’t even need to ask you if you would be happy. Of course not! You may actually even feel insulted. Because you know that they can do better.
The same applies to everything we do and give to God. He says in His Word;
“…those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.” 1 Samuel 2:30
Do you see what He says about those who despise Him? When He says lightly esteemed, it’s as if He’s saying that they will barely be remembered. And that answers why so many people call themselves servants of God and say they love God so much, but don’t even see a little of God’s power in their lives. Because they despise Him in everything they do. They do not give or do the best, and He barely remembers those who despise Him.
If you want God’s all, you must give your all. Isn’t that fair? If you expect the best from those who give to you, why should God accept any less? He won’t. So if you want to start seeing His full power in your life, there is a simple solution. Give your best. He wants your all and nothing less.
May the God of the Bible Bless You
