“It’s just Insomnia…”
Every day and the same thing… you wake up shattered, with no enthusiasm or any kind of ability to face the day. The problem, you already know what it is…
Ninety-five percent of Americans have insomnia at some point during their lives, and for those who do not know, sleep deprivation has a direct impact on the health and well-being of the individual. Unfortunately, nowadays, suffering from insomnia has become so common, that for the great majority, it has ceased to be regarded as a “problem”.
But the reality is, that whether we like it or not, we spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping, and for those who believe that sleep is a poorly spent or overvalued period of time, it is in fact of fundamental importance for the physical and mental recovery of each person. Sleep deprivation or the constant absence of a quality sleep can lead to diseases such as obesity, hypertension, cardiology, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s or psychological disorders.
Acute insomnia is temporary, and is often the result of something stressful or triggering, including coming on after receiving bad news or the night before you have to give a presentation at work.
Chronic insomnia, on the other hand, occurs at least three times a week and has lasted for three months or longer. Some people have temporary insomnia and some do not. This may be normal, but when the insomnia is constant and the person is only able to sleep with remedies, the problem can become spiritual. When this happens, there is only one way to solve this difficulty: Remove the spirit that is behind this problem. Otherwise, no remedy in the world will help you to sleep in peace. If insomnia is a problem for you and you would like spiritual support to end this situation, visit your nearest Universal Church and speak to a Pastor.
