Tips to wake up early
Don’t get too tired the night before: We know things are inevitable, but other things can be avoided such as violent movies, fast beat music, and a heavy meal.
Organize your next day the night before: Write down what you will need to do during the day, especially what you must do as soon as you wake up.
Make a prayer: Thank God for your day and surrender to God your night of sleep, your family and worries. Also, place in God’s hands the plans you wrote down for the next day.
Try to sleep early: The ideal is to have a fixed time to sleep. If possible, make an effort to sleep before 12 am. Have the room as dark as possible so the organism can produce melatonin which will help to have a more productive day. Analyze how many hours of sleep you need because not everyone needs 8 hours of sleep. Pay close attention to your behavior after sleeping 6, 7 and 8 hours to see which is best for you.
Set your alarm for the same time every day: It will stimulate your brain to wake up every day at the same time.
Stick a motivational word on the wall: When feeling tempted to sleep more after had slept enough remember: “Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.” Pr. 20:13
Turn on the lights or open the blinds or curtains in the morning: Light makes the brain to understand that a new day has begun.
